obsidian-doenet Beta
Creator and Lead Developer (May 2026 - present)
Description: Community plugin for Obsidian.md that integrates DoenetML content into Markdown notes, allowing users to embed and interact with Doenet activities directly within their Obsidian workspace. Current central piece for creating my WCAG 2.2 compliant OER course content, with plans to expand its capabilities and user base.

Designed and developed the Obsidian-DoenetML plugin, enabling users to integrate Doenet content into their Obsidian Markdown notes seamlessly.

Implemented features such as embedding Doenet activities, running offline, remote fetch of Doenet content, and local caching for improved performance.

Currently missing documentation for submission to the Obsidian plugin marketplace, but the plugin is functional and available on GitHub for users to try out.

Description: DoenetML is a markup language designed for creating interactive, accessbile educational content, particularly in the context of open educational resources (OER). It allows educators to create rich, interactive activities that can be embedded in various platforms, including Obsidian.md through the Obsidian-DoenetML plugin. As an advisory board member, I provide guidance on the development and implementation of DoenetML to ensure it meets the needs of educators and learners.
